Storage is the part of the chain where problems are cheapest to prevent and most expensive to discover late. A parcel put into the wrong tank, a transfer recorded loosely, or a cleaning step skipped between products will not usually show up on the day — it shows up when the cargo is sold. Our storage operation is built to make those failures difficult.

How a parcel is handled

Before a booking is confirmed we check that the product is compatible with the tank offered and with whatever it last held. On arrival, quantity is metered and a sample is drawn and retained. The product goes into the tank allocated to your booking, not into whatever happens to be free that morning, and the transfer is logged as it is made.

While the cargo is with us, the tank is monitored to the regime the product needs — temperature, pressure or blanketing as applicable. You receive stock statements on the cycle we agree, so your own records and ours stay in step.

Dispatch

Product leaves the same way it arrived: metered, sampled and documented. If we are also moving the cargo for you, the loading slot and the transport are scheduled together, which is usually what removes a day or two from the overall timetable. Transfer and transport documents are prepared at the terminal rather than chased afterwards.

What we need from you

The product name and specification, the volume, the expected arrival and departure dates, and any handling requirement that is specific to the cargo. With those four things we can normally tell you the same day whether we can take it.

What is included

  • Segregated tanks allocated against your booking
  • Metered receipt and dispatch with retained samples
  • Tank cleaning and verification between incompatible products
  • Heating and blanketing where the product requires it
  • Stock statements issued on an agreed cycle
